Evanescent was one of our first purchased horses and is quite the protector. She doesn't like anything she views as a threat coming near her rider or anything she believes is under her protection. This can lead to conflict with other horses when she has a foal but she usually calms down after a little while. She loves to be bathed and usually has respect for her handler. If she does get out of control then she can usually be distracted with an apple as she will even follow her handlers around if she happens to smell pieces of apple in their pockets.
