Gritane was our first horse with a prominent lineage. She's the granddaughter of the famous RDEC Trinidad and has a rather large extended family. She's also been one of our most successful horses. She's definitely the self-declared leader whenever we put her out to pasture since the mares have the tendency to follow wherever she goes. That said, she does not like it when others get close to her tail so she has the tendency to kick. This can also make it really hard to groom her.
